Advance booking for NTR Jr’s Devara to kick start in USA from this weekend

Post the success and dream run of RRR, NTR Jr is all set to be back on the big screen with Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, that also marks the Telugu debut for Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. The film is slated to release on 27th September. Going by the past records for Telugu films like Baahubali series, RRR, Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire , one is assured that the film will be getting a very wide release in the United States of America.In fact, the latest Telugu film to open big in the country is Nani’s ‘Surya’s Saturday’ which for its premiere show, has earned nearly US $548,000 ( Rs 4.59 crore) .

In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Nani decoded the love for Telugu films in North America. He said, “ One of the big reasons is the huge diaspora of Telugu speaking audiences living in the States, and we all are mad about cinema, especially the premiere shows and the first day. The euphoria, the madness is on a different level… also it’s not just love for cinema, but also that adrenaline rush … you want to be the first one to watch and tell your friends about it.”
With this now, all eyes will be on NTR Jr’s next, given that her last release RRR minted US $ 15.15 million from North America ( USA and Canada) circuit , making it the 5th biggest Indian film in the circuit. It also went on to win an Oscar for Best Song for Naatu Naatu.
Now, sources reveal that the advance booking for the film is expected to start over the coming weekend, and the film has already been given a go ahead to begin its premiere shows from 4PM EST ( 1:30 AM India time).

Few months ago, the makers revealed that Devara will be split into two parts. While Saif is the antagonist in the first part, Bobby Deol is reportedly the villain in the second part. NTR Jr is all set to make his Hindi debut with Hrithik Roshan‘s War 2,shooting for which is going on in full swing.
