Gulshan Devaiah thinks it was Janhvi Kapoor’s ‘botched AMA session’ which sparked her criticism: ‘Nobody deserves…’ | Hindi Movie News
Actor Gulshan Devaiah recently discussed the curiosity that audiences have for star kids while discussing his thoughts on nepotism in the film industry. In an interview with Galatta, he added that he doesn’t understand why Janhvi Kapoor is being trolled on social media. Gulshan hypothesized that the reason for this response could be that an AMA on Reddit was “botched,” meaning that things didn’t go as planned.In spite of this, he claimed that nobody deserved it and expressed confusion by the amount of hostility aimed at her.
Speaking on the benefits that come with being a famous star kid, Gulshan said, “Maybe they have a few advantages but, in many cases, it doesn’t work out as an advantage. Yeah, maybe some of these people get more opportunities, but they also fail. A lot of them fail because audiences are excited by you in the beginning, but then, 2-3 films down the line, we are not so excited. There are so many of them who don’t work anymore.”
Gulshan called it “nasty” when the host mentioned that Janhvi Kapoor was being trolled on Reddit. “I have no idea why she gets like trolled so much. I know that one botched AMA was there, but apart from that I feel that it’s a bit on the nasty side. I don’t know if anybody deserves such nasty trolling,” he said.
Earlier, during a conversation with News18 Showsha, Gulshan Devaiah talked about ‘not vibing’ with Janhvi Kapoor. He had stated that he didn’t want to hold her accountable for the same. “I’m not saying it’s my or Janhvi’s fault. There are other ways of getting the job done. I never felt a lack of connect with her while doing a scene. Aisa kuch nahi tha ki mujhe uska muh nahi dekhna tha (laughs)! But you can’t expect a family-like situation on every set,” he shared.
On the work front, Gulshan has not yet announced any new projects.
