Even after 18 years, Omkara continues to be influential in Saif Ali Khan‘s career. At the Devara trailer launch, Saif revealed that Jr NTR and director Koratala Siva were inspired by Omkara when they chose him for their new film. He expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the lasting impact of Vishal Bhardwaj‘s film on his career opportunities.
Discussing his role as Bhaira, Saif described it as a multifaceted character with both young and older versions, extensive makeup, and complex layers.He noted that Bhaira is more of an anti-hero than a straightforward villain, adding depth and intrigue to the role.

In Devara, Saif makes his debut in Telugu cinema and expressed his admiration for the industry. He described it as a gateway to a new cinematic experience, viewing it as at the forefront of Indian cinema. Saif shared his excitement about joining a major South Indian film and believes the future will see more collaborations between North and South Indian film industries.

The Devara trailer offers a glimpse of Saif Ali Khan’s rugged persona as he goes head-to-head with Jr NTR.

In addition to Saif Ali Khan and Jr NTR, Devara Part 1 features Janhvi Kapoor in her Telugu film debut. Directed by Koratala Siva, this epic saga will be released in two parts, with Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts producing, and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram presenting. The film has already generated buzz with the release of two songs, Chuttamalle and Fear Song.
