‘Stree 2’ worldwide box office collection day 10: The Shraddha Kapoor starrer breaks record with highest ever 2nd Saturday collection; crosses Rs 500 crore mark |

Stree 2 is taking the box office by storm! Directed by Amar Kaushik, the sequel reunites the original star-studded cast of Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana. On Sunday, Maddock Films revealed that the film has now crossed a whopping Rs 500 crore globally.

The film’s latest poster proudly announced that Stree 2 has grossed Rs 505 crore worldwide after just 10 days in theaters. Of this, Rs 426 crore came from India, while the overseas collections totaled Rs 78.5 crore. The makers also shared that the film added Rs 33 crore nett to its earnings, bringing its India nett total to Rs 361 crore so far.

While Stree centered on a female ghost seeking justice for the wrongs done to her in life, Stree 2 shifts the spotlight to a new menace—a headless villain named Sarkata with ties to the titular character. This sequel explores Sarkata’s sinister mission of abducting outspoken women. In a pivotal moment, Sarkata destroys the statue of Stree, Chanderi’s guardian, symbolizing the dawn of his reign of terror.

The filmmaker shared in a recent interview with PTI that the team celebrated the film’s success with a party, enjoying themselves immensely. Although they were confident in the film’s quality, they didn’t anticipate such impressive box office numbers. Exhausted and sleep-deprived, the director plans to rest before diving into thoughts for the next project.
