Payne shared that during his recent trip to Mumbai, he met Hrithik Roshan and found him to be exceptional.He mentioned that if the right role were to come along, they would definitely consider it, noting that there are promising opportunities available.
When asked about including more Indian talent in the upcoming season, JD Payne revealed that they have indeed cast Indian actors for Season 2. He highlighted Gavi Singh Chera, who plays Merrimac, noting that Chera’s performance is outstanding and that he appears in several episodes, which adds an exciting element to the show.

In addition to Gavi Singh Chera, Megan Richards, and Markella Kavenagh, Season 2 of The Rings of Power will feature Charlie Vickers, Morfydd Clark, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Owain Arthur, Sophia Nomvete, Benjamin Walker, and Daniel Weyman. Notably, Sam Hazeldine will take over from Joseph Mawle as Adar, the leader of Sauron’s Orcs.
This American series, inspired by JRR Tolkien’s Middle-earth lore and drawing from the acclaimed novel The Lord of the Rings, is produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with New Line Cinema. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 is led by showrunners JD Payne and Patrick McKay.
